Raleigh Competition 12

This Raleigh Competition 12 was hand built by Alan Start in 1982 at Raleigh’s special product unit in Ilkeston, England. It was one of their top of the range racing bikes. Raleigh was always at the cutting edge of innovation. Raleigh started manufacturing bicycles in 1887 and is one of the oldest bicycle companies in the world.
The Reynolds 531 double-butted tubes and taper gauge stays with Vitus forged ends and Haden Royal Sovereign lugs are features of a quality frame. A Brooks Swift leather saddle and Campagnolo Gran Sport derailleurs make this classic lightweight the perfect choice for vintage bike events, such as Eroica Britannia.
